Priscilla Mercedes Leon, lovingly called “Percy”, passed away Saturday, October 17th, 2015, at Mantey Heights Care Center in Grand Junction, CO. Percy was born November 27th, 1939 in Austin, CO. She was one of twelve children born to the late Toribio and Julia Anita (Bustamante) Aragon. She graduated from High School and following training in the health care industry, became a physical therapy assistant. She and Ernest M Leon were married December 23,1962 and have celebrated many happy years together. Percy was a woman of many interests and talents. She had an artistic flare and was good at working with her hands. She loved baking and decorating cakes, sewing and embroidery, painting pictures and had even done some woodworking. She wasn’t a sports enthusiast, but she did like tennis. More than anything, Percy was a wonderful caregiver. Feisty at times and determined, what ever she did was done with love and dedication. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clay Leon, brothers and sisters, Cecilia and Alfonso, Jr., Mary Vier, Vincente and Leta, and Benjie. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Leon, four brothers, George (Linda) Aragon, of Grand Junction, Lucindo (Margaret) Aragon of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph (Annie) Aragon of Montrose, CO, Furhmin (Ida) Aragon of Cedaredge, CO, and three sisters, Mable Sanchez, of Austin, CO, Margie (Joe) Rubalcaba of Grand Junction and Rosie (Milton) Abeyta of Albuquerque, NM.
