Priscilla Ann Williams Franklin, a native of Escatawpa, Miss., and resident of Chicago, Ill., was born on Aug. 28, 1947 to the parentage of the Annie Belle Tatum Williams and Dock Williams. Priscilla made her earthly transition on Dec. 26, 2021 while at St. Mary’s Franciscan Hospital in Olympia Fields, Ill. At an early age she united with Summerville United Methodist Church in Escatawpa. Priscilla graduated from Magnolia High School in 1966 and continued her education at Southern Illinois University School of Business. She spent numerous years employed as a human resources manager at Georgia Tech and after returning to Mississippi she worked and retired from International Paper Company.
Priscilla enjoyed studying the Word of God, preparing good home cooked meals, watching NBA basketball, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Franklin Sr.; son, Reginald Dedrick Williams; a brother, Leonard Williams Sr. and a nephew, Leonard Williams Jr.
Ann, as she was affectionately known, will be cherished in the hearts of her devoted family, including her devoted and beloved daughter, Yolanda Nichole Murphy of Chicago; grandchildren, Ashley (Nicholas) Scott of Moss Point, Miss., and Myya (Steve) Murphy Smith both of Moss Point, Miss. ; one god-granddaughter, Lauryn Martin; three god-daughters, Brittney Umukoro, Yolanda Martin and Martha Caradine; four stepchildren, Thomas Franklin Jr., John Franklin, Jeaneen Franklin and Levaniel Franklin; one devoted sister, Brenda Joyce Williams of Escatawpa; brother, Teddy (Ruby) Leon Williams of Escatawpa; sisters-in-law, Linda Williams, Alice Franklin, Nettie Mann, Clairee Banks and Nancy Roberts; five nieces, Adrienne Williams, Sabrina Williams, Sibbonai Carswell, Princess Williams and Lena Williams Skyes; two devoted and special friends, Marciana Williams of Jackson and Geraldine Smith of Moss Point, Miss.; and three devoted cousins, Fannie Joseph, Rosa Lee McGhee and Tommie Reeves; with a host of other relatives and friends.
