Portia Harvey Smith, 80, Pendleton, died July 19, 2008 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born April 6, 1928 in Oxford, Ohio, and resided in Pendleton, Indiana. most of her life. She retired in 1990 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 44 1/2 years of service. She was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, Bob & wife Cherie Harvey of Noblesville; daughter, Becky & husband Jim Morris of Pendleton; siblings, Dale Mona Miller, Robert Miller, Mary Burr, James Carol Barrus, Pam Bill Smith, Tom Miller, Marilyn Bob Widman, Shirley Gregg, Bruce Kim Miller, Gary Laura Miller and Paula Scott Mallernee; grandchildren, Cheryl Dan Trauthwein, Ryan Morris, Braydon Summer Harvey, Joshua Harvey and Leah T.J. Johnson; three great grandchildren, Kailyn Earle, Grayson Harvey and Kendall Harvey and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Edward Harvey in 1991; 2nd husband, Ralph Smith in 2004; mother, Syllisteen Kerner Miller; father, Torrence Miller; sister, Betty Kelly, and stepmother, Laura Miller.
