She was born September 23, 1925 in Carroll county to the late Charles Williams and Nobie Williams. Along with her parents Polly is preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Haynie and son Jeffrey Alan Haynie. She is survived by children Nobie L. Haynie, Nancy Stanely and her husband Harry and Robert J. Haynie, III and his wife Jeannette M. Haynie. She is also survived by grandchildren, Rebecca Allgood, David Parks, Jeffrey Haynie, Merideth Haynie and Christopher Haynie and his wife Jessica.
