Polly Davis, age 84, of Algona, died on Friday February 15, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Algona. Polly Ann Volkoff, the daughter of Alex and Anna (Wren) Volkoff, was born on August 18, 1928 in Glendale, Arizona. On July12, 1951 Polly was united in marriage with Robert James Davis in Phoenix, Arizona. She had worked for over 40 years as a Nurses Aide at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Polly was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching soaps, traveling when she was able and she loved her grandchildren. Left to cherish Polly’s memory are her children, Robert Davis, Jr. of Clear Lake, Randy Davis of Mason City, Patty Hudspeth and her husband Dennis of Algona and Tim Davis Urib and his spouse Toby of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Angie Wilson, Carrie Schumacher and Daniel Davis; and three great grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Sierra Schumacher and Julien Schumacher. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 1992; and all of her siblings.
