Pok Sun “Jackie” Wachob, 86, passed away on March 5, 2021, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties, Franklin, OH.
She was born on September 22, 1934, in Kyonggi-Do, Korea, the daughter of Sim O Mok and Yun Chi Wol. Pok Sun came to the United States in 1964, and became a U.S. citizen on November 26, 1968. She lived in Anderson for over 50 years before moving to Ohio in 2017. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching her Korean T.V. shows, but most of all, spending time with her family. Pok Sun was retired from State Plating in Elwood and then went on to work for 17 years at Arby’s in North Anderson.
She is survived by her children, Chris Wachob and Caryn (Kevin) Reid; grandchildren, Don Crockett, Hannah (Marc) Jutras, Lacey (Shin) Kang, Harrison Reid, and Sydney Reid; five great-grandchildren with one on the way; several nieces, nephews, extended family in the United States and Korea; and her most beloved dog, Woody.
Pok Sun was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Curtis Wachob; daughter, Cheri Crockett; and a brother, Sim Chang Su.
