Pina Varano, 75, of Hellertown, died Sunday, January 13, 2008, in her home. She was the wife of the late Silio Varano who died December 9, 2006. Born in Teramo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Armerinda (DiEgidio) Marcozzi. She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church. Before coming to America in 1970, she lived in Venezuela for 20 years. A homemaker, she loved spending time painting and in Bible study. Survivors: sister Pia LoCicero and her husband Ben of Forks Twp.; brother Mario Marcozzi and his wife Rosalie of Bethlehem; nephew Mario Marcozzi and his wife Lynn of Bethlehem and niece Marisa Mechi and her husband Ray of Hellertown and Pina’s faithful dog Paco. She was predeceased by her daughter Maria on Jan. 23, 1996.
