Norwich- Phyllis T. (Cook) Courey, 87 beloved wife of the late Peter Courey of Johnson Place, died Sunday morning, August 9, 2015, at Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born in Barre, Vermont on April 17, 1928, daughter of the late Louis and Maude (Gregoire) Cook.
Mrs. Courey was a homemaker. On May 4, 1957 at Church of the Blessed Sacrament in East Hartford, she was united in marriage to Peter Courey, who died on September 10, 1998.
Surviving are two sons Thomas Courey and Louis Courey and his wife Amanda of Norwich; a daughter Diane Jachimowicz and her husband Lucian of Wethersfield; two sister in laws Rita Cook of Enfield and Betty Dubois of Preston and a brother in law Joe Courey of South Windsor; three grandchildren Brianna Courey, Kevin Jachimowicz, and Heather Courey and several dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Vernon and Floyd Cook.
