Phyllis Stamper Roberts, age 88, of Rawcel Heights, Morehead, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born November 28, 1933, in Farmers, she was the daughter of the late Charles Stamper and Reva Elam Stamper. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Davis, and two brothers, Joe and Lloyd Stamper.
Jack Roberts, her loving husband of 49 years, passed away March 9, 2000.
Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Jackie (Joel) Qualls of Morehead; two sons, David Roberts of Frankfort and Jimmy (Gerri) Roberts of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Pamela Phillips, Dwight Roberts, James Qualls, Jeremy Roberts, Kayla Murray; and three great grandchildren, Jackson, Cole, and Hannah Phillips. Others to cherish her memory include her sister, Martha Rigsby of Villa, Indiana; extended family; and dear friends.
Known as an industrious worker and friendly person, Phyllis began her career at the age of 15 at Bob Bishop’s Drug Store, when she worked until she graduated from high school. Later she was a payroll clerk at Cowden Mfg.
