Phyllis Ingrao Salerno, 86, of 93 Hill St., Hamden passed away April 20, 2009 in Hamden Health Care. Born in New Haven Aug. 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Jennie Maddelena Ingrao.. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Vincent Salerno; one daughter, Jennifer Salerno of New York City; and a sister, Matilda Jenschke of North Haven. She was predeceased by two brothers, Salvatore & Michael Ingrao.
