Phyllis Coykendall Piccolo, 97, formerly of Muirfield Lane, West Haven passed away Nov. 20, 2012 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the widow of Dr. P.A. Piccolo. Mrs. Piccolo was born in Plattville, Colorado on Oct. 3, 1915, daughter of the late Frank and Edna Walsh Coykendall. She spent her early years in the West before marrying and moving to Connecticut after World War II. She was a lifetime member of Race Brook Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf and bridge. She is survived by one son, Michael (Celia Almes) Piccolo of Arveda, Colorado; one daughter, Susan Sutton of Guilford; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Cerrito, Erin Nevaiser, Patrick Piccolo and Sara Squeglia; and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Coykendall and her sister, Jean Leadbetter., 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Saturday, Nov. 24th at 10:30. Mass in St.
