Phyllis May Charnesky, 86, of Salem, died at 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born June 16, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gilford Eugene and Ethel June (Painter) Gosney. She had worked at Church Budget as a collator and for Crane Deming as a credit union representative. Her husband, Darwin T. Charnesky, whom she married April 27, 1946, preceded her in death July 13, 2000. Her parents and a brother, William “Sandy” Gosney also preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Larry (Jeanne) Charnesky of Salem, Richard Charnesky of Salem and Donald Charnesky of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Daniel, Dennis, Clayton and Ashlee; and six great-grandchildren, Cody, Kailey, Toby, AJ, Cameron and Dominic.
