DURHAM- Ms. Phyllis Brown, 57, of Durham, NC died Tuesday, August 28, 1961 in Johnson City, TN, she grew up in Danville, VA where she graduated from George Washington High School. She studied business administration at Wake Tech in Raleigh, . Brown was the owner/broker of Phyllis Brown and Associates, Inc., a Durham real-estate firm she started in 2009. She was innovative in Durham real-estate being one of the first owners to invest in on-line real-estate leads and home search software. At one point, she had 14 agents working with her firm, and others as referral agents using her online . Brown was a member of Hope Chapel in Apex, NC, where she was recently baptized, and attended a Wednesday ladies bible study . Brown was the loving wife of B. Keith Brown of Durham, NC, the daughter of Nancy Kapornyai of Danville, VA, the caring sister of Dan Kapornyai and his wife Wrenne of Franklinton, NC, the caring sister of Alan Kapornyai and his wife Mary of Palm Bay, FL, and the caring sister of Tim Kapornyai and his wife Jodi of Dry Fork, VA.
