Phyllis Jean Fricke, 69, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Harold and Helen Smith Allan. She married Donald Fricke on Jan. 21, 1967, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Chapin, and he survives.
She is also survived by one daughter and two sons, Rhonda (Charlie) Dorton of Avon, IN, Craig (Dana) Fricke of Jacksonville, and Cory (Sarah) Fricke of Hoffman Estates; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Gilbert (Janice) Allan of Jacksonville; and her mother-in-law, Marjorie Fricke of Jacksonville.
Mrs. Fricke worked as a merchandiser for American Greeting Cards for several years. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She loved horses and especially her beloved dog, Corky.
