Phyllis J. Jones, 85, of Washington, IL, passed away at 3:14 pm, Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Unity Point Health Methodist.
On June 25, 1935, she was born in Peoria, the daughter of Felix and Irma Martin Daxenbichler. She married Richard Traughber. He passed away on June 13, 1997. She then married Stanley Jones, and he passed away on March 17, 2000. One grandson, two brothers, and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are five children, Deana (Jimmy) Lane of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sherry (Eric) Wilkens of Big Sandy, TN; Terri (Mike) Blank of Washington, IL Eric (Dawn) Traughber of Washington, IL; and Sharla (Ed) Schneider) of Idaho Falls, ID. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She worked for Caterpillar executive office dining room in Peoria. Phyllis was a real estate agent for Lincoln National Realty in East Peoria for several years.
