Phyllis J McNicolFeb 10, 1930 – Jan 26, 2013Phyllis passed away Jan 26, 2013 in Sebring, FL, where she resided 8 months of the year. The other 4 months of the year she stayed in Michigan near her children.On Feb 10, 1930 she was born to Guy and Esther Miller in Adrian, MI. She lived in Adrian through school then continued her education in Elkhart, IN where she met her first husband and father of her children, Edgar Caid, who preceded her in death in 2000.

In November 1992 she married an old school sweetheart, Mark “Mac” McNicol, who preceded her in death in 2007.Phyllis is survived by her six children: Matthew (Nancy) Caid, Three Oaks MI, Tim Caid, Lovells MI, Sherry (Dick) Best, Buchanan MI, Marge Caid, Constantine MI, Peggy Wells, St Josepeh MI and Brad Caid, Sebring FL.

She is also survived by her step-children: Rochelle McNicol, Sarasota FL, Penny (Barry) Teller, Adrian MI, Mark (Kathy) McNicol, Adrian MI and Tim McNicol of Adrian MI. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Surviving are also a host of nieces and nephews.

She was one of four children born to Guy and Esther, in which her sister Lois Mills of Adrian MI survives. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Bud & Bob Miller, both of Adrian MI.Phyllis was an avid golfer, in which she was a proud member of the “hole in one” club. Nobody could get anything over her at the card table either, whether it be bridge, pinnacle, hand n foot or rummy. She loved to play games but her favorite ones were the Fish and Monopoly machines at the casinos. Somehow she always seemed to come out a winner.Phyllis had an infectious smile that lit up any room she entered. That smile brought her the Homecoming Queen Crown in high school. She was an accomplished swimmer spending the majority of her summer vacations at Devils Lake near Adrian. She was a friend of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
