Phyllis Hillenburg, age 75, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at her residence. She was born on June 9, 1944 in Bloomington to Carl and Nancy (Young) Droll.
Phyllis graduated from Bloomington High School in 1962. She worked at Bloomington Hospital for over 20 years.
Phyllis enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, growing her own food in her garden, listening to classical country music, traveling, crocheting, watching westerns, and learning about history. She enjoyed being around nature and spending time outdoors. She loved children, especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and learning of their lives.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Jason Hillenburg, grandchildren, Harper and Flannery Hillenburg, brother, Thomas Droll, goddaughter, Sabrina (Dalton) Isom, nephew, Joseph Droll, and great-nephew, Eric Hillenburg (Kelly).
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Lee Hillenburg, and her parents.
