Phyllis Eilleen Day Stone, 80, died with her children by her side on Friday, January 28, 2011, at her residence in Newnan, GA. She was born December 16, 1930, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada to the late John Herbert Day & Flossie Knox Day.
She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper before dedicating her life to being a wife, mother & grandmother. She loved her dogs that she made part of the family, spent time at the ocean, bowling, and was one of the Atlanta Braves’ biggest fans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Howard Stone; and sister, Joan Day Bolger.
She is survived by a son, Wayne H. Stone, Jr. of Cumming; daughters, Nancy L. Stone of Newnan, Teri Pirie & her husband Jim of Newnan; granddaughters, Kristen Pirie & Paige Pirie of Newnan; brother, Gordon Day of Rochester, NY; cousins, nieces & nephews.
