Phyllis Contreras, 72, passed away on January 24, 2022. She was born July 5, 1949 to parents, John and Delfina (Ruiz) Garcia both of whom preceded her in death along with her mother-in-law, Ruth Contreras, sister-in-law, Bonnie Contreras; and daughter-in-laws Bridgette and Tara Gonzales.
Phyllis loved being with her grandchildren, her husband, and her four legged companion “Sissy”. She enjoyed playing solitaire, watching her novelas, playing bingo, shopping and getting pampered with Ruth.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Eugene Contreras; children, Donald Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales, Gina Martinez, Eugene G (Lynn) Contreras, Mona Contreras, and Matthew Contreras; 15 grandchildren to include Lovicia (Nick), Justin, and James Martinez who she raised; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jay (Jackie) Garcia, Rudy Garcia, Darlene (Jimmy) Johnson; in-laws, Janis(Frank) Baca, Darrell (Katie) Contreras, Rey Contreras and Vince Contreras, and numerous other relatives and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.
