Phyllis Amellin Conte, 93 of New Haven passed away Oct. 1, 2013 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Conte Sr. Mrs. Conte was born in New Haven on Dec. 11, 1919, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Torello Amellin. She is survived by a son, Rick (Debra) Conte and a daughter, Suzanne M. Conte, both of Branford; and three grandchildren, Joseph R. Conte III, William and Dean Conte. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Amellin Jr. and Vincent R. Amellin Sr.
