Phyllis Ann Anderson, 74, of Ottawa, died early Monday morning July 27th at Morris Hospital. Ms. Anderson was born April 16, 1935 in Sandwich to Alvin and Bernice (Sohn) Anderson. She worked at Anderman Furniture in Ottawa for 35 years as a bookkeeper and then the Osteopathic Association of Ottawa.

She was the City Secretary of the Women Bowling for 27 years in Ottawa. She was a 1953 graduate of Newark High School. She is survived by her brother, Alvin Wayne (Carol) Anderson of Yorkville; nephew Gregory Anderson of Plainfield; great nephews Ryan and Erik Anderson of Oswego, niece Angela (German) Magana, great nieces Stefanie and Maria Magana of Princeton; great nephew Private Michael Magana of Fort Knox, Kentucky; a very dear companion and soul mate Leonard Wills of Coal City; a special close friend of 54 years Ann Hamalle of Ottawa plus many more friends and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a special niece, Natalie Renee Anderson; a special and dear friend Margie Fisher. Phyllis was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling for 40 years. She loved doing and making things for everyone, especially her beautiful Kleenex boxes. She was a perfectionist and took great delight in making crayon boxes for her relatives and friends children. Even though she had no children, her relatives and friends children were also her children and her face would light up when speaking about them. Also, she was a very talented baker, making award winning pies and her Norwegian Kringlas.

She was thrilled when people would acknowledge that her Kringlas were the best they ever tasted. So, Phyllis will always be known in our hearts as the Kringla Lady. We all will love her and miss her warm smile and if we try real hard we may smell the aroma of her Kringlas that she is making for all of Gods Angels.
