Phyllis enjoyed gardening and crocheting in her spare time.
She is survived by her son, Robert A. Howe and his wife Patricia of Fitchburg and was predeceased by her son, Edwin F. Howe Jr. in 1999. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Edwin F. Howe III, Michael Howe, Alicia Howe, Theodore Howe; several great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
