DE HOLLANDER, Mrs. Phyllis A., of Kalamazoo, MI. Died Sunday evening August 28, 2011. Phyllis was born February 20, 1946 in Newport, Arkansas a daughter of Robert and Sevilla Ward Childers. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Western Michigan University for 22 years, retiring in 1995.
Phyllis was also a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Ben and Roy. On July 3, 1964, she was united in marriage to James A. DeHollander who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, James DeHollander, Jr. of Kalamazoo and Carla Joseph McCully Jr. of Paw Paw; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
