Phillip A. “Rebel” Wilson, 61, of Elkhart, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Thursday (July 28, 2011) at Hospice House of Elkhart from complications suffered while working in the excessive heat several days ago.
He was born in South Bend on Feb. 1, 1950, to the late Carl and Ruth (Adams) Wilson.
Surviving are his daughter, Candace A. “Kandi” (Jim) Oltman of Elkhart; sons Chris R. (Jennifer) Wilson of Mishawaka and Shannon M. G. (Laura Post) Wilson of Pasadena, Calif.; sisters Carol A. Warlick, Phyllis A. (John) Crabtree and Beverly J. Wilson, all of Elkhart; and his former spouse and mother of his children, Clara A. “Ann” Wilson of Elkhart.
Phillip was preceded in death by a brother, Herschel, and a grandson, Collin Wilson.
