Charlo – Phillip M. Justus, 72, passed away at his home on June 6th.

He was born in Blackie, Virginia on November 10, 1938 to Willie & Ella (Blankenship) Justus.

As a young man he joined the Air Force, was stationed in Washington and becama a dashing “Gieger Tiger”.  This Gieger Tiger married Priscilla Bloomquist in Spokane and they made their home there until his honorable discharge in 1960 when they move to Forks, WA.  

In Forks, he, his father, and brother owned and operated a Shakes mill until 1986.  He then moved to Alaska before returning to Seattle where he worked as a truck driver for Associated Grocers.  After he retired they briefly moved to Arizona before moving to Montana in 2004. Unfortunately he became ill in 2005 but he still managed outliving any of the predictions the doctor’s gave him.

An avid poker player, he enjoyed playing and was lucky enough to be able to go to Harrah’s in Las Vegas recently and play in a tournament.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Billie in 1987, a daughter Charlana in 1984, grandchild Cody Amen and a niece Brenda Grant.

He is survived by his wife Priscilla; children Cynthia Amen, Kenneth (Kimberly) Justus, and James Justus; daughter in law Lorrie (Eric) Justus- Shields; grandchildren Ken (Tammy), Ladawn, Kachaira (Jesse), Ryley, Carol (Chris), Shane, Madison, Nicole, Colt, Kendra, Nicholas, and Chandler; 5 ½  great grandchildren and his brother in law Gary Ernst who helped to take care of him.
