Phillip L. Manuel, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was born on January 14, 1947 in Greensburg, Indiana, to the late Lloyd Emerson and Nelda Grace (Flinn) Manuel. He married, Patricia Ann (Bragg) Manuel, on November 23, 1984; she preceded him in death on July 18, 2018.
Phil graduated from Carthage High School in 1965 and served two tours of duty in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for Digital Pneumatics and retired from Western Electric and was an HVAC Technician.
Phil loved the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and was part of the Indy Car Official Observer Crew for 40 plus years. He was a life-time member of the Indianapolis 500 Oldtimers Club and a member of the American Legion Post #0777.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Manuel; and brother, Steven Manuel. Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda (Kenny) Weaver of Connersville; step-children, Curtis (Shelley) of Woodenville, WA, Sabrina (Dr.
