After his retirement, Phil enjoyed working as a bailiff at the Circuit Courthouse in Annapolis and as a docent at the Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards. Phil was a sports fanatic. He loved to cheer for the Orioles and the Terps, and was a die-hard Baltimore Colts fan before later adopting the Ravens as his favorite football team. Phil was a kind man, who enjoyed volunteering at local schools, playing cards with friends, reading, and doing word and Sudoku puzzles. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
Married for 44 years to Darlene (Davidson) Howard, Phil is also survived by daughter, Melissa Jimeno, and her husband, Greg, of Millersville, MD, and son, Matthew Howard, and his wife, Meghan, of Fairfax Station, VA. Howard, and brother-in-law of Dianne D’Alberto and Beverly Braun.
