Philip Bernard “Skip” McEnaney, Jr.

Skip was a member of the H.F.S. Sportsmen’s Club where he served as a Trustee.  He worked the plush wheel at the club’s shrimp feast for a number of years, and was a long-time member of their bowling league. He was an avid hunter of deer, pheasant, dove, and occasionally squirrel and rabbit. He was most passionate about his hobby, trap shooting. Skip was a member of the Carroll County Gun Club, competing in both their Winter Trap League and the Heart of Maryland Trap League, where he made the top ten for Carroll County on numerous occasions.  When not on the firing line, he could be found in the kitchen serving up hot meals to the league participants.  He was also a member of the Garrison Rifle and Revolver Club as well as a lifetime member of the NRA. You could also find Skip serving his community at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church as a grass cutter, working at the annual August Festival and, also, as the chief chef for many years at their annual Lasagna Dinner.

Skip is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Daneker McEnaney; children, Ryan McEnaney & wife Holly Kratz of Randleman, NC, Kenneth McEnaney & wife Shelly of Glenn Allen, VA, and Erin Guynn & husband Preston of Louisburg, NC; grandchildren, Andrea, Shannon, Sean and Doug McEnaney, Nick and Justin Rein, Ella and Thomas Reeson; extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael McEnaney and a brother, Wayne McEnaney.
