Philip Allen Aardsma, 92 of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Phil was born on April 14, 1928, in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Allen Walter Aardsma and Clara Verbeke. He served in the US Navy from April 1946 to February 1948, during World War II. After the Navy, he worked for Grumman Aerospace and then went to work for US Customs in New York, where he retired.
Phil enjoyed woodworking and was very active in his church. He was a hard worker, always putting himself last. Phil had a big, loving heart, a very Godly man.
He is preceded in death by his seven siblings, Walter, Mary, Jacob, Dottie, Paul, Clara, and Ruth.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edith Aardsma; 3 children, Pam, Pat, and Philip; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
