Phil McIntosh, loving father, brother and son, avid musician and outdoorsman, was born on April 19th, 1960 in Kendallville, Indiana. He departed this life in March 2019, in his home of 20 years on Lake Oconee, which he loved so much. Phil’s love and pride for his children knows no bounds.

Phil was born to parents Anne and Mark McIntosh. He lived in Marion, IN and graduated from Marion High School where he was a star athlete. He went to Indiana University, in Bloomington, IN and loved IU basketball. After college, he lived in Texas and Chicago before moving to Atlanta, GA to raise a family. A fan of the University of Georgia Bulldawgs, he loved game day with his kids at the lake.

He will be remembered for his dry wit, kind heart, and how he was never one to miss out on an opportunity for a joke. The room was always full of loud music and even louder laughter when he was around. He taught his children fairness, integrity, resilience, and pride in themselves. Phil loves great music, good food, warm fires, and days spent on the dock. He went to many concerts with his children and friends every year of his life.

Family always came first for Phil. He leaves behind his three children, Erin, Tara and Sean, his brother, Kevin McIntosh, and his dogs, Coco and Gonzo. He was loved by so many people and was one of the friendliest, kindest people in the world, always fast to make a new friend.
