Petty Officer 2nd Class Nathan A. Marsh, age 21 of Sanford and Mesick, Michigan, died on Saturday October 15, 2016 in Mt. Pleasant from injuries received in an automobile accident.
The son of Paul A. and Pixie A. (Randall) Marsh was born on July 25, 1995 in Johnson City, Tennessee. He graduated from Meridian High School with high honors in 2013 at the age of 17 and was dual enrolled at Delta College in the welding program. While at Delta, Nathan was very instrumental in helping many students with their welding skills. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he was currently stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. Nathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and collecting old fishing lures.
Surviving is his mother, Pixie (Ryan) Tauriainen of Beaverton; father, Paul A. (fiancée, Chaykie Bruno) Marsh of Mesick; step sister, Audrea Suteliffe; aunts and uncles, Pat Koehler, Marla Burns, Mindy (Scott) Taylor, Bill Marsh, Don Marsh, Victor Randall; step grandmother, Rebecca Tauriainen; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Marsh; step grandfather, Roland Tauriainen.
