Petra Antonia Mesa, 64, Oxnard, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 20, 1949 in Oxnard and had been a life long county resident.
Prior to her retirement, Petra worked as a teacher aid for 20 years.
Petra will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by mother, Juana Mesa; sisters, Pauline M. Velasquez (husband, Edward) and Diana L. Munoz (husband Ruben); brothers, Robert Mesa (wife, Chris) and Daniel Mesa; 14 nieces and nephews; 8 great niece and nephews
She was preceded in death by her father, John R. Mesa and her brother David R. Mesa.
Viewing is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m.
