Peter Vienne, age 86, of seasonal residents of The Villages, Florida and St, Charles, Illinois, formerly of Geneva, Illinois and Fayetteville, New York, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at UF Health The Villages Hospital in Florida with his loving wife by his side.
He was born January 8, 1936, in Syracuse, New York, the son of Frank Vienne and Ester Ann Worden.
Peter worked 37 years for HJ Heinz and retired in 2000 with awards of career excellence. Peter loved his country and proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed sports, especially both Chicago baseball teams, the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears, and the Fighting Illini. He watched every Illini football and basketball game that he could.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Francine (Serpico); his children Dr. Peter P (Rita) Vienne Jr, Kathleen (Frank) Urteaga, and Steven Vienne; Francine’s daughter Nicole (Brian) Sommerfeld he loved like one of his own; grandchildren Peter P. Vienne (Cortney) III, Zack (Ann Marie) Vienne, Sarah (Matt) Jones, Jacob (Kara) Vienne, Samantha Vienne; Brandon, Jason, and Maria Sommerfield; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Peter was proceeded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Vienne.
