Peter Odin Lofgren, 88, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Peter was born September 20, 1926, in Greenbush, Minnesota to David and Minnie Lofgren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine; granddaughter, Libby Lofgren; his parents, brother and sister. He is survived by his wife Marie; sons, Peter, Kevin (Doreen) and Eric (Diane); daughters, Patricia, Karen, Susan (Rodney Berry) and Teresa; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Peter served in the United States Navy for four years serving during WW II. He worked in the Finishing and Quality Control department at SD Warren in Westbrook, Maine for 37 years. Upon retirement he resided in Lakeland, Florida where he was active in his community as a volunteer for Lakeland Regional Medical Center and Watson Clinic. He was a member of the American Legion for 52 years; serving as a Post Commander of American Legion Post #62 in Westbrook, Maine and volunteering at Post #8 in Winter Haven, Florida.
