Peter W. Klug, age 61, of 8643 H. Road, died Easter Sunday April 8, 2007, at his home in Cornell of an apparent heart attack.
Peter was born October 6, 1945, in Kidderminster Worcestershire, England, the son of Walter and Hazel (Priest) Klug. He was raised in Escanaba and attended the St. Joseph Catholic School before completing high school at the Escanaba Senior High. Following high school, Peter enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. completing three tours during the Vietnam conflict and earning medals of accommodation which included, The Purple Heart, The Vietnamese Service Medal with two stars, The National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and two separate Good Conduct Medals. In addition, Peter received The Navy Achievement Medal for duties displayed in an exemplary manner authorizing him (Sergeant Peter W. Klug) to wear the Combat
