Peter Joseph Gaughan, 85, of Bristol, beloved husband of Geneva “Jean” (Bernoski) Gaughan, died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 21, 2008.
He was born May 15, 1923 in Bristol, son of the late Edward and Mary (Murray) Gaughan, Sr. A lifelong resident of Bristol, Peter was a U.S.
Besides his wife, Geneva, whom he has been married to for the past sixty-three years, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry J. and Sandra J. Gaughan of Bristol; his two grandchildren, Patrick J. Gaughan of St. Petersburg, FL and Courtney J. Gaughan of Canton; his three brothers, Edward Gaughan, Jr., James Gaughan, and Henry Gaughan all of Bristol; his two godchildren, Timothy Gaughan of Bristol and James Mazon of Burlington; several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother and sisters, Philip Gaughan, Sr., Catherine Francouer, and Mary Scheiding.
