Peter J. Lorello (Papa Pete) was born on March12, 1929, to Samuel and Theresa (Salvaggi) Lorello in Anaconda.
He was raised and educated in Anaconda. He worked on the railroad and then on smelter until 1965, when he bought the Haufbrau. He also owned the Chief Bar and the 7 Gables.
He was a member of the National Guard and commanding officer for many years until he retired as a major.
Peter served on the Constitutional Convention. He retired to Reno in 2000 and made many friends and enjoyed “the life”. Failing health brought him back to Montana in 2013 where he spent his last months close to his family.
Peter died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Granite County Medical Center, Philipsburg.
Peter is survived by daughter, Terry (Curt) Pederson, granddaughter ; Jodi (Matt) Winter and family, Mackenzie, Alyssa and Taryn; grandson; Dewayne (Codi) Pederson and family, Thomas, Makayla, Alli and Aden; grandson, Dan (Amanda) Pederson and family, Kendra; grandson, Pete (Brittany) Lorello; and granddaughter, Sammi Lorello and fiancée Rayan Blaz.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ralph, sister, Phil and son Mike.
