Our beloved, Peter John d’Hulst Jr, 87, joyfully returned to his heavenly home on September 21, 2022. He had resided in the Beehive Home in Syracuse, UT. He was born April 3, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to Peter John d’Hulst and Adriana Harmana Westbroek. During his formative years and into some of his adult life he was known as Jack to his family and friends. Peter graduated from Ogden High School in 1954 and then attended the University of Utah where he later graduated from the Pharmacy program in 1960.  He married Nancy Pauley on July 17, 1990.

Peter worked for Ciba-Geigy as a pharmaceutical sales rep and regional manager until he retired in 1993. After his retirement he continued to work part time as a pharmacist for Fred Myer, Smiths Food King, and finished his part time pharmacist work with Walgreens.

He loved to play the piano and loved the companionship of his dogs. He loved to read and was a student of the scriptures.

Peter and Nancy enjoyed many years of travel and explored Michigan, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Hawaii, and Europe.

Though not familiar to Utah, Peter was part of the Briefcase Drill Team. A Plymouth and Michigan favorite, that marched in numerous parades including Thanksgiving and the Fiesta Bowl.

Peter was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He loved to teach the gospel as a teacher and he loved playing the organ for his church meetings. He had a strong testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Peter is survived by his wife Nancy, three daughters and three sons, Mary (John) Scott, Martha (Clair) Beesley, David Scott (Selina) d’Hulst, Earl John (Donna) d’Hulst, James Edward (Janice) d’Hulst, Lark (Don) Billmire, a stepson, Kirk Thierbach, a step-daughter Shareen Tata, a brother, David (Judy) d’Hulst, and a sister, Sandy Summerill. He had 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Beehive House who were his friends and lovingly cared for Peter these past 5 years.
