Peter James McDonald, 72, of Middleton passed away suddenly on December 28, 2019. Peter was born in Sydney Australia and was the son of the late William (Jim) and Sybil (Seers) McDonald of Avoca Beach Australia. Peter was raised in Sydney Australia where he excelled in swimming and tennis and spent his early adult years traveling the world before moving to the United States in 1974. He was a self-employed leather broker. Peter was an avid outdoorsmen, expert fisherman and legendary golfer. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Deborah M. (Roberto) McDonald of Middleton, MA his sons Andrew S. McDonald and his wife Shelley of Pelham, NH; David J. McDonald of North Andover; his stepsons Phillip J. Lagomarsino and husband Mark of Stuart, FL and Daniel J. Lagomarsino of Swampscott, MA, his brother Richard G. McDonald and his wife Sandra of Sydney Australia his sister Annette Edmondson and her husband Jack of Sydney Australia, and his grandson Max A. McDonald of Pelham, NH. Peter is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousin and countless friends. Peter was a former member of The Lions Clubs International and served as President of the Topsfield club, past President of the Lions District 33N Eyemobile Inc; and past President of the friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging.
