Peter E. Venskus, 87, of Silver Ridge Park East section of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022.
Born in Paterson, NJ, he lived in Ocean Isle Beach, NC before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 2001.
Peter received his Bachelor’s Degree from Newark College of Engineering and served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1959.
He started with Singer Kearfott in June 1956 and worked in Engineering & Management positions on Fleet Ballistic Missle Program and played a major management role contributing MK4 & MK5 Guidance System Design and Production. He retired as President of Singer Kearfott in Wayne, NJ.
Peter was predeceased by his step son Robert Loewrigkeit in 1997.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Trudy Venskus (nee Dobres), his two daughters Donna Kayler and her husband Ed of Bayville, NJ and Debbie Halek of Cranford, NJ, a brother Tom Venskus and his wife Cathy of Estero, FL, seven grandchildren Corinne Amoroso and her husband Anthony, Christina Kayler, Danny Halek, Steven Halek, Phillip Halek, Nathan Halek, Rachel Richards and her husband Gene, two great grandchildren Gabriel and Luca, a step son Ken Loewrigkeit and his wife Carolyn and three step grandchildren Cameron, Connor and Cohen.
