Peter D. Fortin, 58, of 2313 Mill Lane, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at his home.
Pete was married to the former Mary K. Zimmerman.
Pete retired from the Susquehanna Health System in 2010. He was an accomplished bass player and played with several area bands and toured in bands throughout Canada and the US East Coast.
Pete was a loving husband, kind and a caring friend and had a smile for everyone. He had a love for the New York Finger Lakes, the ocean, gardening and listening to music as well as playing it. Known as Poppy, he will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren.
Born June 9, 1952 in Montreal, Quebec, he was the son of Joseph A. and Marjorie Marks Fortin.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Luke of Williamsport; daughters, Jackie (Mike) Haines and Renee Fortin both of Williamsport; step daughter, Alison LaCerra of Williamsport; brothers, Rick (Deborah) Toronto, Ontario and Mike (Sarah) of Montreal, Quebec; sisters, Cathy (Mike) Bastarache of Montreal, Quebec and Sue (Tony) Janelle of Russell, Ontario; grandchildren, Madison Haines, Tarell, Zoey and Symphany Brown.
