Peter Christopher Murphy was born in Six Mile Bridge, Ireland (County Clare) on May 24th, 1937. He eventually came to the United States to create a better life for himself. He retired from United Distillers and decided to pursue his dream of living on the farm that he had purchased years prior. He was happiest and felt most alive when he was there. He passed away peacefully at his home in Newton, Iowa on October 3rd, 2022. He is survived by his children: Mary Cinelli-Dussault, Annie Murphy-Arias, Eileen Kappenman, Denise Perez, Debbie Murphy, Peter Murphy & Tara Murphy and their respective spouses and children. He will be welcomed with open arms in Heaven by his parents and his two sons, Kevin, and Brian Murphy. Peter enjoyed farming, fishing, and being outside in nature. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
