Peter Joseph Appleyard, 70, of Marietta, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018. Pete was born June 19, 1947 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late George Roger Appleyard and Janice Anthony Appleyard. Pete received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University and his M.B.A. from Central Michigan University. He had a successful career with several companies serving as Chief Information Officer.
Survivors include wife, Melissa Appleyard; children, Jessica Appleyard, Katie Varner (Jeremy), Karen Hamby Gray (Ed), Cathy Hamby Gregg (Steve), Marty Hamby (Jessica); siblings. Tony Appleyard (Vicki), Susie Kadlec; grandchildren, Wil Gray, Catherine Gregg, Payton Gray, Stephen Gregg Jr., Madison Hamby, Stella Hamby, Atticus Varner, Charlie Hamby, Christine Hampton, Samantha Faulkner, Jennifer Chandler; and great-grandchildren.
