Peter Negrini, 89, of Cromwell, passed away surrounded by his family on November 3rd. He was born and raised in Middletown and has lived in Cromwell for the last 41 years. He joined the Navy at 18 years old and he served aboard an LSR and was part of the Normandy invasion. He was recognized for his display of bravery under fire and individual acts of heroism in World War II. After the Navy he worked at New Britain Machine for 20 years. When he retired he started N & N Manufacturing with his children. He retired in 1990 to spend more time with his children and grandchildren. Peter was a member of the VFW Post 2138 in Rocky Hill. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jacqueline (Topa) Negrini; his sister, Anne Negrini of East Berlin; his four children, Linda Raffles of Glastonbury, Allen and Brenda Negrini of Maui, Peter and Laura Negrini of Cromwell, and Nancy and Roy Robbins of Cromwell. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild that adored him. He will be greatly missed.
