Mr. Morris L. “Pete” Walters, age 89, of Valley, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Lakewood Assisted Living in Valley.
Mr. Walters was born on April 1, 1926 in Chambers County, Alabama to the late, Ulys and Corrine Walters.
He was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Mr. Walters is survived by his son, Michael “Mickey” (Wanda) Walters, LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Michelle (Frank) Lemke, Regina (Joseph) Moore, Angela (Daniel) Rippy, Velita (Wes) King, Melissa Walters, Wendy Congo, Jamie Walters; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle H. Walters; son, James Phillip Walters.
Mr. Walters was a World War II Naval armed gun veteran. He worked at the Langdale Mill and later retired from the Uniroyal Plant. He was a loving father and grandfather.
