Merton “Pete” William Payne, Jr., 98, of Boerne passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019.
Pete was born on June 20, 1920 in San Antonio to Merton William and Mary Duennenberg Payne. He was a rancher and housebuilder who loved to hunt and fish.
Pete is survived by his nieces: Joyce Young, Linda Cannon, and Barbara Krywoszej; and his nephews, Timothy Payne, Benjamin Payne, and Kenneth Payne.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Mary Payne; and his brothers, George and Wilmer Payne.
