Petar “Pete” Zizic, age 67, of Milford and formerly of Bridgeport, died peacefully with his beloved wife by his side in Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born June 10, 1940 in Otok, Croatia to the late Stjepan and Pera Guso Zizic. Before retiring, he was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to Croatia, playing bocce, wine making and especially being with family and friends. Mr. Zizic is survived by his devoted wife Jadranka “Kay” Frzop Zizic, daughters Visnja “Vicky” Zizic of Milford and Vesna “Vanessa” Zizic of West Haven, brothers Frano Zizic of Milford and Djelko Zizic of Otok, Croatia, sister Sima Elek of Otok, Croatia and several nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers Jozo, Tone, Nikola and Jure Zizic and sister Iva Markovic. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
