Perry R. Gattie
Perry Ronald Gattie, 67, of Bartow, passed away on Sunday March 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ella and Perry Gattie, his brother; Douglas A. Gattie and stepfather; Harvey Cobb. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years; Lois Gattie, his children; Bruce Gattie, Chris Gattie and Emily Valdez, three sisters; Nita, Linette and Jean, 4 grandchildren; Megan Gattie, Austin Gattie, Dillon Gattie and Edward Michael. At the age of 17, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy until his discharge in 1966. Ronnie loved to work on cars, he enjoys wood working and crafting furniture. He worked for and retired from the State of Florida as a Correctional Officer with the state’s Department of Corrections. After his retirement, he continued to serve his community as a school bus driver for the Polk County School system.
