Brighton Reservation – Perry Ivan Whidden died June 12, 2021. He was born on August 2, 1944, in Moore Haven to Raymond Whidden and Myrtle Mae Sylvester. Mr. Whidden attended First Indian Baptist Church. He loved air boating, frog gigging, hog hunting, working cattle, and working in his shop.
Mr. Whidden is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie Whidden; sons, Greg Whidden (Joy) and James Madrigal (Sheila); daughters, Kim Johns (Marty), Sonya Baxley, Michele Thomas (Gene), and Perrie Pearce all of Okeechobee; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret “Sissy” Carter of Pensacola, Janie Byrd of Apopka, and Penny Colt of Okeechobee.
