Percy Lee “Omar” Bradley was born in Limestone County, Alabama on June 12, 1948 to the later Ida Mae “Mickey” Love and Clyde Bradley. He departed this life Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Floyd E. “Tutt Fann” Veterans Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
Percy united with the Moulton Height Church of Christ and served faithfully until his health failed. He was a United States Army Veteran that served in Vietnam Era. He was employed with the City of Decatur and the St. Ann Catholic School.
Percy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clyde Bradley Jr.
Mr. Bradley leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Ms. Ashia Watkins and Ms. Mashekia Mathews of Decatur; son, Mr. Percy T’Challa Bradley of Brent; three grandchildren, Detrius and Devin McGuire, Janea Mya Mathews of Decatur; four sisters, Mrs. Eva (Leon) Kirby of Madison, Ms. Brenda Bumpus of Decatur, Ms. Claudette Rich and Ms. Elaine (Clifford) Curry; one brother, Mr. Henry Bradley (Chris) Bradley all of Huntsville; sisters-in-law, Ms. Belinda Hardaway of Chattanooga, TN, Ms. Bertha (Harold) Roberts of Charleston, SC and brothers-in-law, Mr. Benjamin (Wanda) Ballard of Chattanooga, TN and Mr. Theodore Bumpus of Athens; seven aunts, James Ella James, Mollie Bradley, Maggie Smith, Inez Mitchell, Ola (Richard) Ayers, Willie (Lendell) Stinson and Emma Green; two uncles, Darnell (Annie) Bradley, Eddie Bradley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
